Hyderabad: The residents of President Pocharam Srinivas Reddy’s constituency Banswada have decided to use voluntary lock-in as a preventative measure to save the people from Covid-19.
In view of the ever-increasing cases of COVID-19 and deaths, the locals and traders decided to go lock up voluntarily until May 15th.
In this regard, a meeting was held with leading residents and traders of the city in which serious concerns were expressed about the increase in the city COVID-19 incidents. A resolution was adopted to take all necessary steps to save the city of Banswada COVID-19.
Municipal chairman Gangadhar said the shops, in accordance with the voluntary lock-in, should be opened between 05:00 and 14:00. The Tiffin centers only have parcel service. The traders began implementing the exclusion from April 26th.
The decision for voluntary exclusion was taken unanimously by all political parties under the slogan “Save Banswada”.
Similarly, the retailers in Medak city closed voluntarily until May 4, closing all stores at 2 p.m.
The traders in Kodur Suryapet also decided to do their business between 09:00 and 14:00.
The traders of the Haliya Municipality in Nagarjunasagar also decided to close their businesses at 17:00 to fight COVID-19 pandemic. Their exclusion will continue until May 9.
