Punjab: Ludhiana administration fixes ambulance charges for Covid patients

Ludhiana DC said that the strict action would be taken against those ambulance service providers who charge more than the fixed rates from the Covid patients.
LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana administration on Friday decided to fix the rates of private ambulances ferrying Covid-19 patients.
Divulging the details, deputy commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said that the charges for ambulance applicable in the district are minimum Rs 2500 for the first 25km and an additional Rs 12 per km.
Similarly, for Innova ambulance, Rs 2500 will be charged for the first 25km and an additional Rs 12 per km for further travel.
For ambulances equipped with ventilators, the fare will be Rs 5,000 for the first 25km, and an additional Rs 25 per km for further distance they cover.
Sharma said that the strict action would be taken against those who charge more than the fixed charges from the Covid patients.
