New Delhi: Remembering his late husband and iconic star Rishi Kapoor during his first death anniversary, Bollywood veteran actor Neetu Kapoor recounted how the Kapoor family ‘celebrated him all year long with a smile on their face’.
The 62-year-old star took her Instagram handle and shared an unseen flashback photo with her deceased husband.
With the monochromatic picture, she wrote down a sidebar for Rishi and described how he has always been part of their family’s discussions over the past year.
“Over the past year there has been sadness and sadness for us all over the world, more than we lost him … Not a day went by that we did not discuss or remind him, for he was an extension of us. exist … ‘, Neetu writes in the caption.
She added, ‘Sometimes his wise advice: his wise crack: his anecdotes !! We celebrated him all year long with a smile on his face because he will stay in our hearts forever. We accepted that life would never be the same without him !!! But life will go on … ”
Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 last year after a two-year battle with leukemia. The original ‘showman’ left behind a rich legacy of film wonders that stretched for decades. He breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital at the age of 67.
Before his death, Rishi was in New York for his treatment with his wife.
The couple were married on January 22, 1980 and share two children together, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and superstar Ranbir Kapoor. The couple also starred in films such as ‘Zinda Dil’, ‘Khel Khel Mein’, ‘Amar Akbar and Anthony’, ‘Do Dooni Chaar’, among others.
