AMBALA: Among the 487 positive cases reported in Ambala district on Thursday, 31 are children kept under watch at Child Observation Home in
Ambala City, told deputy civil surgeon Dr
Sanjeev Singla.
Dr
Sanjeev said, “A total of 31 children living inside Child Observation Home have tested Covid-19 positive on Thursday. A total of 85 samples were collected from his home and there are 71 children living inside there, of which, 31 are found to be infected by coronavirus.”
The children are isolated inside the observation home only and the teams of Ambala district health and family welfare are deputed by the administration to give treatment.
When asked about the next measures to be taken to treat the children and whether anybody is in critical condition, Dr Sanjeev said, “As of now, there is no case that of a critical nature. We are coordinating with the district administration and the positive children will be isolated separately from the negative and the symptomatic negative ones.”
“A few days ago, one person had tested positive at an observation home, due to which, the sampling of all the persons living inside was conducted. The infection level has been found very high and we are adopting all the containment measures and the treatment of the children has been started”, said Dr Sanjeev.
