GUWAHATI, April 29: The 06 Bn BSF and 38 Bn BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended 3 Indian smugglers along with liquor & rescued cattle heads onĀ April 28 from bordering area of village KismatKarala in Coochbehar (West Bengal) and village in South Salmara.
Acting on a tip off, BSF troops of Border outpost (BOP) Karla of 38 Bn BSF carried out a special operation in the general area of village KismatKarala close to the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Operation party searched an e-rickshaw near Natkabari and recovered 58 bottles of liquor which were concealed under the seat box. Alert BSF troops apprehended two miscreants along with the e-rickshaw while the consignment was attempted to be smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
The apprehended smugglers are Ukil Barman andĀ Dulal Barman.
Apprehended Indian smugglers and seized items have been handed over to Sahebganj police.
In another operation, acting on a tip off on April 28, BSF troops of border outpost (BOP) Sishumara of 06 Bn BSF carried out a special operation in the general area of village Nagtachar close to Indo-Bangladesh riverine border. Alert troops apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler and rescued cattle heads while these were about to be smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
The apprehended cattle smuggler is BadshahHarunalRasid (22) of South Salmara (Assam).
