West Bengal election result 2021 live updates: An approximate 15.44 per cent voter turnout has been recorded till 9:30 am. Voting for the the last phase of West Bengal assembly elections began at 7 am and will continue till 6:30 am. Meanwhile, voting began with a half an hour delay due to a glitch in the EVM, at polling booth number 188 in Birbhum.

In the last phase, 8,493,255 people spread across 35 Assembly constituencies are expected to exercise their franchise to elect their representatives from a total of 283 candidates. 11 Assembly constituencies each in Birbhum and Murshidabad, seven in North Kolkata and six seats in Malda will go to the polls.

An analysis of the Assembly seats on the parameters of 2019 Lok Sabha elections shows that Trinamool had a lead in 19 constituencies, had an edge in 11 constituencies and the rest of the five seats were in control of the The Left Front hardly had any impression in these 35 seats
