Former Potka MLA Sanatan Manjhi passes away, CM expresses grief

Jamshedpur, Apr 29 (UNI) Former Potka MLA Sanatan Manjhi has passed away battling Coronavirus.
He was 80. Family members said he was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata where he breathed his last.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed his grief over the passing away of former MLA. He said that with the demise of Sanatan Manjhi Jharkhand has lost an able politician. He said that his ideals and thoughts use to inspire the people of the state.
The Chief Minister has prayed to the almighty to rest his soul in peace and give strength to the family members to overcome the burden of loss.
Manjhi was admitted initially at a private hospital in Jamshedpur on
April 20 but as his condition declined he was sent to Kolkata where he breathed his last around midnight.
Sanatan Manjhi had got elected from Potka seat as an independent in 1969 and 1972. He had also served as district unit chief of Singhbhum from 1980-1992 and at present was associated with JMM.
