Nalgonda: Arrangements have been finalized for the vote for the Nakrekal Municipality to be held on Friday.
A total of 93 candidates participate in 20 wards of the municipality. About 21,382 voters, including 10,537 male and 10,845 female voters, will exercise their right to vote during the municipal election. The election will be held from 7 to 17 hours in 40 polling stations.
Officials considered the arrangements for ballot boxes COVID norms of social distance, wearing face masks and disinfecting hands at the polling stations. In addition to the voting materials, face masks and disinfectants were also distributed to the polling stations.
Voters arriving without face masks will not be allowed to go to the polls. The remediation of polling stations with sodium hypochlorite by municipal workers has also been completed.
About 300 employees were delegated for election service, and 400 policemen were deployed to ensure free and fair votes in the municipality.
Ballot box materials, including ballot papers and ballot papers, were distributed to the polling stations at the set-up of the distribution and reception center in the Junior Junior College of Nakrekal.
In the media, Rahul Sharma, additional district collector (local bodies), said polls would be strictly done following the COVID norms. Special measures were taken to maintain the social distance by the voters in the lines at the ballot boxes. After the ballot box, the ballot boxes will be moved to Government Junior College in Nakrekal and stored in strong rooms. The vote count will be taken on May 3, he added.
