Slovak regulator invites operators to update licences for 3.5-3.7 GHz band

Thursday 29 April 2021 | 12:20 CET | News
Slovakia's telecommunications regulator RU has invited operators to submit applications for modifying their permits for the of the 3.5-3.7 GHz frequency bands, which are also suitable for 5G networks. The watchdog announced that that the change should support new technologies and more efficient use of the spectrum. The changes in licences will also open the way for operators to easily refarm frequencies according to their needs and form larger blocks of frequencies. This will allow better network parametres to be achieved, including slightly higher speeds.
