MI vs RR in IPL 2021: Kieron Pollard reacts in a hilarious way after getting hit by a bouncer_ Kieron Pollard is certainly one of the strongest hitters of cricket ball who has played in the Indian Premier League’s history. When the ball touches his bat it flys off real quick towards the boundary rope. But do you know that it’s not just about hitting with the ball, Pollard can actually just heads the ball towards the boundary and still gets four runs?

The incident took place in Mumbai Indians match against Rajasthan Royals, on the third ball of the 18th over where Pollard was hit on the head by a bouncer bowled by Chris Morris. As the ball hit Pollard’s head it raced down to the boundary line. Pollard while looking at the ball made a hand gesture in a way as if he wanted the ball reach to the boundary. In the end, the ball reached the boundary and MI received four runs of leg byes.
Meanwhile, change in conditions brought the change in luck for the defending champions. 172 was always going to be under-par on a pitch that was quite good for batting. And once Mumbai got off to a strong start through Quinton de Kock, they were always ahead in the run chase. Krunal Pandya also played a lovely hand and his partnership with de Kock erased any little hopes that RR might have had when they got rid of Suryakumar Yadav.
The pair batted beautifully on an easing surface and RR’s bowlers just couldn’t curb the run flow. To be honest, they needed at least 180 on this deck if not more to stand a chance. Tells you how badly Sanju Samson’s men batted at the death and how brilliant MI were with their slog-overs bowling. The game was probably decided there itself. de Kock played the anchor role to perfection and batted through to hold one end up, allowing the others to flourish.
