Imphal, Apr 28 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter Scale was felt in Manipur and its surrounding states around 0751 hours today. There was no immediate report of any damage and casualty. The tremor was felt by most people in the state.
The epicenter was at a shallow depth of 10 km beneath the epicenter near Dhekiajuli, Sonitpur, Assam, 269 km from Imphal.
According to National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at Lat: 26.69 & Long: 92.36, Depth: 17 Km ,Location: 43km W of Tezpur, Assam .
