Samsung Galaxy M01 starts receiving One UI 31 update based on Android 11

Samsung has been on an update spree in the past couple of months. The company has already updated its premium and mid-range smartphones with One UI 3.1.

The company has also started rolling out the update for its entry-level smartphones. The most recent one to receive the update is Galaxy M01 smartphone, according to a report by Sammobile.

The One UI 3.1 update rolling to Galaxy M01 is a toned-down version of the regular update, which is mainly aimed for entry-level smartphones.

The update is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA) and carries the firmware version M015GXXU3BUD9. It also includes April 2021 Android security patch.

The latest update for Galaxy M01 brings One UI 3.1 to the smartphone along with Android 11 operating system. The update adds a long list of new features to the smartphone such as camera improvements, stability improvements, Android 11 core features, updated One UI interface and more.

In addition to the new user interface and Android 11’s core features like enhanced privacy, digital wellbeing,etc, the update also includes enhanced dynamic memory allocation for the smartphone.

The enhanced memory allows for better memory management and hence improves the overall performance of the smartphone allowing for apps to run faster.

New lock screen and home screen customisation is also a part of the update. Along with this, there are some changes to call and chat and videos and photos features as well.
