'Health Safety Week' extended in Jharkhand till May 6, shops selling essentials to open till 2 pm only

Ranchi, Apr 28 (UNI) The Jharkhand Government on Tuesday extended the restrictions imposed in the state as part of Health Safety Week to break the chain of Coronavirus by another week.
The Health Safety Week will now be further observed from April 29 to May 6 till 6 am.
A decision in this regard was taken on Wednesday in the meeting of the state disaster management authority which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
It has been now decided that all the shops selling essential commodities will be opened till 2 pm only and people will be allowed for movement till 3 pm.
In wake of the rising cases of Coronavirus the state government has decided to extend the restrictions by another one week.
The Chief Minister said that there was lack of oxygen supported beds in the hospitals, further it has been brought to notice that many people who have normal breathing are themselves using oxygen supported beds.
He had asked the health department to identify such patients and they should be shifted to the general ward so that the oxygen beds can be given to the needy.
He directed to make arrangements of 50 additional beds in general category in government and private hospitals of the state.
He further directed the health department to constitute a team of experts doctors from RIMS and other big private hospitals which will look into the condition of the Coronavirus patients admitted at the Sadar Hospital and will suggest ways to provide them with better treatment facilities.
Further the team will also look into as to who needs oxygen beds and who do not.
The Chief Minister said that in all the districts steps should be taken to provide better healthcare facilities to the people.
He said that apart from availability of oxygen, life saving medicines and proper arrangements should be made for keeping an eye on the health of family members and relatives of the infected person.
He directed the officials to take necessary help from the corporate houses in the state in battle against Coronavirus as part of which essential medical equipment to tackle the pandemic are provided in the hospitals and it will ultimately help to check the spread of the disease.
Those present in the meeting included Health Minister Banna Gupta, Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Development Commissioner Arun Kumar Singh and others.
