New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India announced an amount of 20 million on Wednesday COVID-19 aid package by its philanthropic arm for a series of initiatives to provide infrastructure assistance to the most affected countries, Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Through the new step in continuing the ongoing COVID-19 assistance programs, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) will use resources to set up oxygen-producing plants in hospitals, to help critical patients and to help hospitals become self-sufficient oxygen, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a statement.
The foundation will also assist with the installation of medical facilities and provide support staff to various hospitals and provide their operating costs for the next three months, and if necessary, he said.

Hyundai said it had also arranged a vaccination series for its staff over 45 at its manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu through the office of the government primary health center in Sriperumbudur and would continue efforts to overcome the pandemic.
