DJ KHALED ANNOUNCES ‘KHALED KHALED’ ALBUM RELEASE DATE

WASHINGTON: DJ Khaled on Tuesday announced the arrival of his 12th self-titled album ‘Khaled Khaled’ that will be released on Friday, via We the Best Music, Epic and Roc Nation.The 45-year-old DJ took to Twitter and made the announcement with respect to his upcoming album. “ALBUM 100% DONE! ITS TIME. I TOLD MY TEAM LETS PUSH THE BUTTON! #KHALEDKHALED THIS FRIDAY APRIL 30TH!”, Khaled shared with an alarm-clock emoji.

He promised the album cover next and he delivered, sharing the art on Instagram. “This my name. This is my legacy. This my COVER. Time to bring MORE LIGHT. I have a gift for the world. I can’t wait to share it with you. Let’s talk tomorrow, are you available?? I couldn’t post any pictures of this gift I had to sign an NDA,” Khaled captioned the post.

The cover art features Khaled alongside his two sons: Asahd and Aalam. As per by The Hollywood Reporter, DJ Khaled whose real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled, jumped for joy (and into his pool) when two famous Justins — Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake, tried FaceTiming him after submitting their vocals for the upcoming record.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER CALLS OSCARS 2021 ‘BORING’

WASHINGTON: Arnold Schwarzenegger in his new interview on Jimmy Kimmel’s show spoke about Hollywood’s biggest event–the Oscars–and termed it as ‘boring’. It also drew sharp criticism from fans and critics alike in the wake of switching up the format and venue on Sunday. According to Fox News, the 73-year-old actor showed up on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Monday night and conceded to just watching about 33% of the service “because it was so boring.” “I basically just turned it off and I just couldn’t watch it anymore because there was so much talent there on the stage that it was so boring – how could you make this, with all this talent, so boring?” the actor continued. “I think next time, they should take it to Muscle Beach and have the Oscars on Muscle Beach,” he joked.

Schwarzenegger himself has never been nominated for an Oscar, but won a Golden Globe in 1977.

ALLU ARJUN TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, UNDER HOME QUARANTINE

MUMBAI: Telugu actor Allu Arjun on Wednesday informed that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will remain under home quarantine. The 38-year-old actor took to Instagram and posted a statement requesting his fans not to worry about his health as he is doing fine. “Hello everyone! I have tested positive for Covid.

I have isolated myself at home and have been following all the protocols. I request those who have come in contact with me to get tested. Stay home, stay safe and get vaccinated when you get the chance. I request all my well-wishers and fans not to worry about me as I am doing fine. Love, “ read the statement by Arjun. Scores of fans chimed into the comments section as they wish the ‘Sarrainodu’ star a speedy recovery.

On the professional front, Arjun has completed the shoot for ‘AA21’, and also has got an action-thriller based on red sandal smuggling in India – titled ‘Pushpa’– in the pipeline.

AJAY DEVGN, SONU SOOD AND MANY FROM FILM FRATERNITY EXTEND HELP TO CORONA PATIENTS

Indian filmmaker and superstar Ajay Devgn has been working quietly with the BMC to provide emergency medical facilities for Mumbaikars affected by COVID-19. It was reported that last year he donated ventilators to Dharavi, one of the areas that was badly hit at that point, helping the situation to a great extent.

This time around, Devgn has gone ahead and helped the BMC to set up an emergency medical unit at Mumbai›s Shivaji Park. By which BMC has converted Bharat Scouts & Guides Hall at Shivaji Park to a 20-bed COVID-19 facility with ventilators, oxygen support and para monitors. 

“It will be an extension of Hinduja Hospital,” said COO, Joy Chakraborty confirming that they would provide food, linen, medicine and man power to this emergency unit.

Actor Sonu Sood, who is doing his bit to help people tide over shortage of hospital beds, oxygen supplies and life-saving medicines during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, called it ‘more satisfying’ than delivering a 100 crore film. He has been involved in numerous relief efforts since last year, from helping the needy with medical bills to airlifting stranded migrant workers and students.

On Wednesday, Sonu took to Twitter to share a clip of the non-stop notifications on his phone of people pleading for help. “We are trying our best to reach out to you. If there are delays or we miss out. Then pardon me..Apologies”, the actor tweeted.

Former actor Twinkle Khanna along with husband actor Akshay Kumar have donated 100 oxygen concentrators as India battles second wave of Covid-19. She said that she was in ‘bit of a hole’ due to family’s ill health. Akshay Kumar recently donated Rs. 1 crore to Gautam Gambhir Foundation.

KANGANA RANAUT CELEBRATES 15 YEARS IN BOLLYWOOD, PENS DOWN HEARTFELT NOTE

MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday reminisced about her debut film ‘Gangster’ and celebrated 15 years in the industry. She also penned down a note in which she chronicled her ‘success story’ in these years. The ‘Queen’ actor took to Instagram and posted her then and now pictures donning a red dress. The then pictures see a younger Kangana with curly hair and a smiling face when she made her debut in Bollywood, the second picture sees a glammed-up star who donned a straight face with serious expressions as she poses for the lens.

She penned down journey of her 15 years in essence, and wrote, “15 years ago Gangster released today, Shahrukh Khan ji and mine are the biggest success stories ever but SRK was from Delhi, convent educated and his parents were involved in films, I did not know a single word of English, no education, came from a remote village of HP” “Every step was a battle starting with my own father and grandfather, who made my life miserable, and yet 15 years later after so much success still every day is a fight for survival but totally worth it, thank you everyone,” she added.

Ranaut also used the hashtag ‘#15yearsofgangster’ Released in the year 2006, the Kangana Ranaut starrer romantic thriller helmed by Anurag Basu also features Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja in pivotal roles.

Kangana’s project ‘Thalaivi’ which was slated to get a theatrical release on April 23, this year got postponed due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.

DICAPRIO TO STAR IN ‘ANOTHER ROUND’ REMAKE

LOS ANGELES: After winning the Oscar for best international feature film, ‘Another Round’ is getting the Hollywood treatment. The movie is all set for an English-language remake with actor Leonardo DiCaprio likely to play the lead role. As per Variety, the Danish dramedy about four friends who engage in an epic drinking binge will be remade in English. DiCaprio is being eyed to star in the film in the role originated by Mads Mikkelsen, but there is no formal deal in place. DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way acquired rights following a bidding war that reportedly involved Jake Gyllenhaal’s production company Nine Stories, as well as Elizabeth Banks.

‘Another Round’ is a comedy-drama film directed by Vinterberg. The film centres on four friends who consume booze on a daily basis to test a theory that maintaining a certain blood alcohol content level inspires creativity and affects their daily lives.

The remake will be executive produced by Thomas Vinterberg. Along with Vinterberg, Sisse Graum Jorgensen and Kasper Dissing will also serve as executive producers. Vinterberg also co-wrote ‘Another Round’ with Tobias Lindholm.

The English remake would be bankrolled by Endeavor Content and Makeready.

IRRFAN KHAN’S LEGACY CAN NEVER BE REPLACED, SAYS ADARSH

Mumbai: Adarsh Gourav, who earned the global spotlight with his performance in ‘The White Tiger’, downplays all comparison certain sections of fans and the media have drawn between him and the late Irrfan Khan.

Adarsh said that the legacy of Irrfan can never be replaced.

“Comparisons of me with Irrfan sir is a huge deal but I don’t think that his legacy can ever be replaced. Not by me, not by anyone. That’s just how it is. Period,” he said, while opening up on the subject.

‘The White Tiger’ was nominated in the 93rd Academy Awards in the Best Adapted Screenplay category but lost to ‘The Father’.
