Hello,
I’am 21 Years old 6 ft male and I’ve been lifting consistently for 8 months . I gained about 45 lbs. From 155 lbs to about 200-210 lbs. Furthermore, I got way stronger on all the main lifts (very close to intermediate level). 2 Plate Bench/3 Plate Squat/4 Plate Deadlift.
I bulked up to 200-210 lbs - 25 % Body Fat. My first thought is to obviously cut. BUT. The Gyms are closed here now.
How should I tackle this? Cut or Maintenance?
It’s a hard decision because, if I cut now, without access to the gym, I’am gonna lose a lot/more of muscle, because the gyms here are gonna be closed for 5-6 months. This means that I can’t Bench, deadlift, Squat for that long. So I’am gonna lose a lot of my strength and if I cut on top of that I’am gonna lose a lot of muscle because I cannot maintain my numbers. Bands and body weight exercises are gonna be worthless therefore aka not enough stimulation to hold on to my gains on a cut.
If I eat at maintenance I’am gonna hold on better to my Gains but I don’t think it’s healthy to hold on to all this fat that I gained + I ain’t making no type of progress in these 6 months if I eat at maintenance. So after 6 months I’am gonna look the same or worse. Such a waste of time therefore.
So, cut or Maintenance guys?
Thanks in advanced![]()
