Due to the rise in Kovid-19 cases in India, there is a severe shortage of medical oxygen and hospital beds in many states. DRDO said in a statement that the transfer of MOP technology will be done to Tata Advance Systems Ltd. of Bangalore and Trident Pneumatics of Coimbatore. After this, both these companies will set up a medical oxygen plant. These plants will produce 1000 liters of oxygen per minute.
All the essential things including oxygen cylinders are being supplied to India from other countries of the world including America. Apart from this, two 500-500 bedded Kovid Hospitals will be set up by DRDO at Hisar and Panipat, Haryana. Giving information about this, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that the Western Command of the Army has been asked to provide doctors and other medical personnel for these hospitals.
