IPL 2021: MS Dhoni’s CSK completes 5 wins a row for the first time since 2014- MS Dhoni’s CSK on Wednesday created history by completing 5 consecutive wins in IPL 2021. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s blistering 75-run knock and a fifty from Faf du Plessis helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to defeat SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven-wicket at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. With this win, CSK moved at the top of the IPL 2021 points table.
It has been 6 years since CSK last won more than five or more games in a row. From winning the IPL title in 2018 to getting banned for two years and failing to make it to the IPL playoffs last year, the 3-time champions have turned back the clock and look exceptional this season. They have already become the favourites to win IPL 2021.

CSK have bounced back in style after losing the opening match. They are on a roll with 5 straight wins.
The last time Chennai won 5 consecutive matches was in 2014.
They registered six successive victories and had finished in the playoffs.
CSK’s biggest winning streak was in 2013 when Dhoni-led won side seven games on a trot and had finished runner-ups.
