MTN Group says bid for telecoms licence in Ethiopia aligns with Ambition 2025 strategy

MTN Group confirmed that it is participating with equity partners in a bid for a telecoms licence in Ethiopia. MTN said this aligns with its Ambition 2025 strategy to capture growth from digital acceleration across the continent. The bid has been made in partnership with Silk Road Fund from China, with other partners to be disclosed upon a successful outcome.
