25-yr-old woman accuses man of raping her with marriage promise

Rajkot: A 25-year-old man was booked for allegedly raping a 25-year-old divorcee after promising marriage.
According to police, the woman who has a four-year-old daughter has lodged a rape complain against one Jay Sondarva, a resident of Vambay Avash on Kalavad road in Rajkot.
She has alleged that she had come in contact with Sondarva about a year ago after she moved into his neigbhourhood post her divorce. The woman alleged that she got into a relationship with Sondarva as he promised to marry her. However, after being in relation for several months, Sondarva refused to marry her. So, she approached the police with a rape complaint. Police have detained Sondarva and are questioning him.
