Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, which bumps up the Android security patch level on the flagship to May 1, 2021. Additionally, the new build improves the camera and enhances the Quick Share feature.

The new firmware carries version number G998BXXU3AUDA and requires a download of about 1.2GB. It's currently seeding in Germany, and we expect the rollout to expand in other countries soon.

If you live in Germany and haven't received the update yet, you can try checking for it manually by navigating to your smartphone's Settings > Software update menu.

Performance of the camera has been improved, they say this every time and yet never specify what the improvements are. And frankly I never notice any difference

I think it has something to do the way Android is built that they have to rebuild half the stuff that doesn't change (and then retest it...). Its the reason they are trying to separate more and more stuff into separate services so they can be mo...

I'm not complaining about the extremely regular updates, but why are those updates so hefty in size? They barely introduce any new features with them, the only larger was Portrait mode with telephoto lens.
