Mancherial: Government whip and MLA, Balka Suman, Chennur laid the first stone for three bridges and on Tuesday handed over checks to 109 beneficiaries of Kalyana Laxmi in Chennur. He was accompanied by Dr B Venkatesh Netha, MP from Peddapalli.
Suman said he was particularly focused on improving road infrastructure in rural and urban parts of the Chennur Assembly constituency. He claims to have raised sufficient funds for the construction of new roads and for the repair of existing roads, in addition to building bridges over streams and gorges. He added that the infrastructure will end the misery of residents of many towns.
The Government Whip said that three municipalities Chennur, Mandamarri and Kyathanpalli are undergoing remarkable growth in many respects. He said internal roads had been widened, intersections beautified, libraries created and many other basic amenities improved. He then laid the foundation stone for a barn at the Pochamma temple in the city.
According to the legislature, Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao brought relief to financially weak parents by issuing the financial assistance of Rs 1,00,116 according to the Kalyana Laxmi scheme. He said the parents can now easily carry out marriages with their daughters with the help of the initiative.
Suman urged the public to take precautions to limit the spread of the land Covid-19. He urged civilians to wear face masks, disinfect their hands and exercise physical distance. He said that efforts are being made to provide better quality medical services to the infected.
Later he visits an oil palm grown by farmer Sanjeeva Reddy in the town of Lingannapet in Kotapalli. He is investigating works of the 2BHK scheme being taken up in Chennur city. He instructed the officials concerned to expedite the works.
