    Indus Towers shares gain 3.21% as Sensex rises

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 1,048.86 points, or 5.20 per cent, to 21,237.38 on Tuesday. The S&P500 index increased 143.06 points, or 6.00 per cent, to 2,529.19.
    Shares of Indus Towers Ltd. traded 3.21 per cent up at Rs 255.95 at 10:00AM (IST) on Tuesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 266.55 points to 48653.06. The stock had settled at Rs 248.0 in the previous session.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 282.0 and Rs 152.35, respectively.

    As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 10:00AM (IST) stood at 10:00AM shares with turnover at Rs 0.62 crore.

    At the prevailing price, the stock trades at 18.25 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 14.02 per share and 2.19 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

    A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

    The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 0.34.

    Shareholding Details
    Promoters held 139.7 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs owned 54.42 per cent and DIIs 4.6 per cent.
