The US has assured that in the next 48 hours it will transport raw materials, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, PPE kits, etc. to India to manufacture Kovid-19 vaccines. In the same order, Air India aircraft reached New Delhi from New York on Monday with a consignment of 328 oxygen concentrators.
Union Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted that all efforts are being made to strengthen the country in the fight against the epidemic. Under this, 328 Philips Oxygen Concentrator reached New Delhi Airport via Air India aircraft from JFK Airport.
Earlier, US National Security Advisor JK Sullivan said this over a 45-minute discussion with his counterpart in India, Ajit Doval. This relief is considered to be important in the critical situation caused by the epidemic in India.
The White House issued a statement stating that the way India sent relief materials to the United States in the early times of the epidemic, now the US will invest its resources and supplies to help India. The US has identified all the raw materials that India needs. It will be made available to India immediately.
Simultaneously, the supply of oxygen and equipment connected to it is also being made immediately. The two also talked about the Quad Vaccine Initiative under which 100 million vaccines will be made in India. A deadline of 2022 has been set for this.
On the other hand, Ajit Doval has also spoken with his counterparts in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Efforts are being made to procure oxygen tanker supplies and other equipment through them. Both countries have assured India of help. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also discussed with several countries the import of special tankers required for medicine, oxygen, and oxygen transport.
Biden, Harris said - India had helped us, now we will support it
US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have assured India of all support, including medical life-saving supplies and equipment needed to help India overcome the Corona crisis. Seva International will send 400 cylinders of oxygen
In the US, the Indian community is also involved in supplying oxygen and other essential commodities to India. Indian-American non-profit organization 'Seva International USA' has set a target of raising $ 5 million of which $ 1.5 million has already been collected within two days.
The organization said that it is sending the initial consignment of 400 oxygen concentrators as well as another emergency medical equipment and supplies to India. Spokesperson Geeta Desai said that the organization is providing food and medicines to about 10,000 families in India and 1,000 orphans and senior citizens.
