srs, so far ive got "dress up like lumberg," legit walk around like him all day, sipping coffee saying to people "whaaaats happening ... uh yeaaa, im gonna neeeed you to go ahead and come in tomorrow.. mmmkaay?"
but in all seriousness, nothing id get fired over, but am legit wondering what would you all do?
edit to add in some context-
company hired me, 15ish others last year, most of us moved here from out of state, one guy from russia, to do industrial maintenance and basically they bill the client/owner for our labor and hours. well well well what do you know, company only had the contract for it til this summer, didnt tell one single one of us it was up and now some arent getting hired by the new company taking over the contract meaning some people moved here from out of state, bought homes, have been on the job for less than a year and are getting laid off when i/they would have never taken the job in the first place if that little fact was disclosed - they there was a 50/50 chance they could be without a job in less than a year.
who the fuk would ever move across the country/world for a job like that?
division president profusely apologized and says "i dont know what happened, we always make it a point to tell people of contract dates.' lol, RIGHT, i guess forgetting to tell 15 people was just on accident then.
inb4 "but but contracts are up all the time"
Yeah no chit, thats why you tell your workers when they are so they arent without, you know, a job. you dont spring it on them two months beforehand when they think they have another two years to go.
