Vivo's subsidiary iQOO just introduced the iQOO 7 range in India. As the leaks had suggested, the lineup brings two devices, the standard iQOO 7 and the iQOO 7 Legend (BMW M Motorsport version). The iQOO 7 Legend is an affordable flagship powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC starts at Rs 39990.

The iQOO 7 Legend seems to be the closest competitor to the India exclusive OnePlus 9R, which is also priced at Rs 39999. For your information, the OnePlus 9R has several similarities to the OnePlus 8T, including the chipset that powers these two devices. It ships with a Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 865.

Talking about the prices, the iQOO 7 Legend price in India starts at Rs 39,990 for the basic 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model and goes up to Rs 43,990 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The OnePlus 9R, on the other hand, is available at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model is available at Rs 43,999.

The iQOO 7 Legend will be available for pre-order via Amazon and the company's website starting May 1. The OnePlus 9R is already available to buy through Amazon and the company's website.

Starting with the display, both the iQOO 7 and the OnePlus 9R feature a 120Hz AMOLED display. The iQOO 7 has a tad bit bigger display at 6.62-inch than the 6.55-inch display on the OnePlus 9R. Both these are FHD+ displays with HDR10+ certification. Also, these smartphones come with in-display fingerprint scanners.

The iQOO 7 Legend is powered by the more superior Snapdragon 888 SoC, whereas the OnePlus 9R ships with a Snapdragon 870 chipset. This is further coupled with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You cannot go wrong with the performance on either of these devices as they are powered by top-of-the-line chipsets that can slice through almost anything thrown at them.

The iQOO 7 Legend features a triple camera setup in the camera department, whereas the OnePlus 9R flaunts a quad camera setup. Just a reminder, the OnePlus 9R does not benefit from the OnePlus-Hasselblad partnership.

The setup on the iQOO 7 Legend consists of a 48-megapixel IMX 589 primary sensor with OIS, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens and another 13-megapixel ultrawide lens.

The OnePlus 9R features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with OIS, a 16-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth shooter. On the front, there's a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies. There's a 16-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies.

Both these devices can shoot 4K 60fps videos, however, the OIS is only available on offer on the OnePlus 9R at this resolution.

As far as the battery life is concerned, the iQOO 7 Legend features a 4000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, whereas the OnePlus 9R ships with a bigger 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

The OnePlus 9R has a clear advantage over the OnePlus 9R in terms of software with the much cleaner OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. That being said, the Funtouch OS 11 running over Android 11 has improved by leaps and bounds and offers a decent software experience.

Both the iQOO 7 and OnePlus 9R support 5G and WiFi 6. Apart from this, these devices have all the basic connectivity options, including the NFC.
