IPL 2021 Trade Window opens, Rajasthan Royals desperate for players on loan, follow live updates

IPL 2021 Trade Window Live UpdatesThe trade window for 14th edition of the Indian Premier League has opened from today. During the transfer window, franchises can sell, loan trade players to the other franchises provided the players give their consent to be part of the other franchise. As per the IPL guidelines, the window got activated on Monday and will continue to stay open till May 23rd, the last day of the league match this IPL season. 

IPL 2021 Trade Window Live Updates – What can franchise do during this trade window ? 

– Franchise can trade players to other franchises during the transfer window
– Franchises can also take players on loan from other franchises
– Franchise can sell their players to others and make profits above the base price
– Players once traded, loaned to other franchises can’t return to his ex- franchise
– Each franchisee may loan no more than three of its players to the same franchisee during the season

The 1st IPL franchise which is likely to get active on the trade window will be Rajasthan Royals. Royals who has already lost many players either to injuries or Covid-19 related pull outs are looking to get players on loan from other franchises. RR has already lost 4 of their 8 foreign players to injuries and Covid-19.  Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer had to pull out due to injuries, while Liam Livingstone and Andrew Tye pulled out due to Covid-19 related issues. 

The Sanju Samson led team at this stage is left with only four foreign players – Jos Buttler, Chris Morris, David Miller and Mustafizur Rahman – and is in urgent need of some reinforcements and will look to have some players on load from other franchises. 

The other franchise which is likely to get very active on IPL Trade Window will be Royal Challengers Bangalore who has lost Adam Zampa, Kyle Richardson to Covid-19 related pull-outs.

But according to one of the franchise InsideSport.co spoke to said, that we will be reluctant to make any trade or loan any of our player in these Covid-19 conditions
 
“Though we have some players who are unlikely to get a game this season but still we may not trade them. Reason being in this Covid-19 situation, you never know how things pan out and you may end up needing that player, so we are likely to stay out of the trade window”, confirmed one of the franchise official to InsideSport.co
