This exhibition features a new collection of eight foot black-and-white drawings, displayed both as wall hangings and transparent reproductions, as well as an illuminated sculptural form in the center of the space.
Ceramic explorations and new reflective mylar and metal artworks will be featured as floor-based sculptures, hanging works, and wall reliefs. “Lilith Shrine” is the artist's meditative exploration of the energies of the ancient goddess Lilith, conducted under quarantine, with the mark-making directed by experimental music listened to while drawing. Together these marks cumulate into a sculptural whole, enveloping the audience. Two walls of projected video art will also be on display.
For the inauguration of the exhibition, Sinelnikova will conduct a ritualistic music and poetry performance within the space which will be streamed on instagram, twitch and zoom.
