Telugu actor-politician Pawan Kalyan recently contracted coronavirus and is undergoing treatment at his farmhouse in Hyderabad. He was found to be ailing after returning to Hyderabad, following his public meeting in Tirupati in the run up to the high octane Lok Sabha Scheduled Castes-reserved by-election. And the Power Star is currently suffering from Post Corona Weakness (PCW) which has prompted him to suspend all shoots of his films Ayyappayum Kozhiyum and Hari Hara Veera Mallu till June, according to a report in Great Andhra. The Janasena founder's initial Covid test was negative, however, he had quarantined himself in his farmhouse. Doctors have put him on antiviral drugs after monitoring Kalyan's lungs and are also giving him oxygen when required. A team of doctors from Apollo hospitals is also monitoring the actor's health, including making arrangements in the farmhouse itself.
The Janasena founder, who divides his time between movies and politics, and Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) local ally said that his health is stable and promised that he would return to his admirers and people with complete health. His elder brother and cinema legend Chiranjeevi and other family members are regularly checking on his health.
Wishes have continued pouring in for Telugu star and JanSena Party founder Pawan Kalyan, ever since the party's official Twitter handle announced he had tested Covid positive. Celebs like Mahesh Babu, Naveen Polishetty, composer Devi Sri Prasad and others wished for his speedy recovery.
His new film Vakeel Saab opened in theatres on April 9, and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in the post-pandemic times. The film is the Telugu remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink.
