Aurangabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Maharashtra government has failed in every way to control the COVID crisis, charged Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Raosaheb Danve on Monday.
In a scathing attack at the ruling coalition, Jalna MP Danve asserted that be it any crisis, Maha Vikas Aghadi has learnt to shift its responsibility towards Centre.
He said, “Now that the Maharashtra government has no plan to control the situation, it is running away from its moral responsibility and blaming the central government.”
He continued, “The central government had in January 2021 approved the installation of 162 Pressure Swing Adoption Oxygen Plants to establish public health facilities in all the states. Of 162, 10 were sanctioned for Maharashtra.”
“But the Maharashtra government has not taken any sincere steps in this direction,” he asserted.
“The approval was given in January 2021. If we had worked on this issue at the war level, the situation would have been different today. Not only that, the entire cost of the scheme will be borne by the central government. But nothing like that has happened from the Maharashtra government and this clearly shows the carelessness and irresponsibility of the MVA,” he told.
He further said, “Of all the aid received from the Central Government today, Maharashtra has the largest share and PM Narendra Modi is ready to extend all possible assistance to the state.”
“Maharashtra has been given a maximum of 1,784 metric tonnes of oxygen and the Central government has immediately approved the state’s request for a jumbo covid center at Bharat Petroleum's refinery premises in Mumbai. As promised by the centre , Maharashtra also gets the largest share of Remedesivir as compared to other states,” he added.
