Norway brings in Advanced Mobile Location

Norwegian communications regulator Nkom said that Advanced Mobile Location (AML) is now up and running in many parts of Norway to provide precise positions to emergency services for faster response. The watchdog encouraged members of the public to check whether or not their mobile phone supports AML. The four emergency phone numbers in Norway are 110 for the fire brigade, 112 for the police, 113 for ambulances, and 1412 for use by people with hearing impairments.
