Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Monday adopted an order promoting all school students studying from grades one to nine until the next academic year. This applies to all students of private, aid and government institutions, covering mainly all categories. The decision was taken by the state government in light of the hardships caused by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
According to the government order, dated April 26, the government on Monday gave permission to the Director School Education to promote all school students studying in classes one to nine, from the academic year 2020-21 to 2021-22. Before that, the Minister of State for Education had already announced on April 25 that this academic year (if they failed) would not continue this student.
Apart from this, the state government has also declared summer holidays for all schools and colleges from 27 April, or Tuesday. The state’s decision to promote all students from grades one to nine was sent to officials of the relevant departments. The students were promoted to keep their safety in mind, and also to prevent the spread of students COVID-19.
The government order promoting students was sent to the DME by Chitra Ramachandran, special secretary general of the government. Telangana continued to raise a large number on Monday COVID-19, as the state reported more than 6,100 new cases. A day earlier, more than 8,000 people had tested positive. The state has also currently passed all exams for colleges.
