With over 25 years of experience in the HR world, Jacob will be helm the people function of the Gems and Jewellery business and other interests of the Group
Jacob Jacob, previously the CHRO at Columbia Asia Healthcare, will now take on the role of the CHRO of Malabar Group with immediate effect. He will be responsible for strengthening HR processes to bring in the best-in-class people practices.
On his latest appointment, Jacob told news media
"I will be responsible for putting in robust HR systems at a global level, where the Group has its operations. The role is truly a transformation role combined with strategy and making HR centre of excellence.”
He is an HR professional with over 24 years of experience across various International Markets with expertise in Strategic HR Consulting, International HR and Start-Up HR. Previously he was responsible for the Group CHRO at Columbia Asia Healthcare in Malaysia and has worked as Chief People Officer for Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd.
The Malabar Group has more than 250 showrooms across ten countries currently, which makes it one of the largest chains of jewellery stores in the world.
