The new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has been launched in three colour options namely Glass Sparkle Black/ Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Mat Sword Silver/ Candy Daring Red and last, Pearl Brilliant White/ Metallic Mat Stellar Blue. The company has confirmed that the BS6 Compliant 2021 Hayabusa shall be dispatched in the middle of May 2021.

Reports of the new generation Suzuki Hayabusa being a supercharged or turbocharged motorcycle have been doing rounds on the web for a long time now. While almost all of us had assumed that Suzuki will employ a supercharge on the new 2021 model in order to take the fight to the Kawasaki Ninja H2, well, this didn't turn out to be true. The new model still employs a naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 1,340cc, having an inline four-cylinder configuration.
The biggest reason behind the added popularity of the previous Busa was its killer price tag. Thanks to the CKD route, the superbike was priced at Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom) that made it cheaper than even most of the 1,000cc bikes. But the new model might not see the CKD route right from Day 1 and hence, it might demand a significant premium over the outgoing model's price and is expected to be priced at close to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has shed weight by two kilos compared to the outgoing model. With this, the bike now weighs 264 kg (kerb weight) and this weight reduction is all thanks to a redesigned, lighter, Euro-5-compliant exhaust. Talking of the dimensions, the numbers are more or less the same as the previous model including an identical wheelbase of 1,480mm.
The new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa gets a new six-axis IMU along with a 10-stage traction control system and 10-stage anti-wheelie control system. In addition to this, you also get three levels of engine brake control, three power modes, along with cruise control, launch control. There is also cornering ABS on offer and for those steep uphills, you now have hill hold control. The Busa now gets an all-LED lighting system and while most of the instrument cluster remains analogue, there is now a new TFT display in the center.
While the new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is a lot more advanced and better in almost every aspect than before, it has witnessed a considerable drop in power. In order to be precise, the bike now puts out 190 hp of power against the previous model that was good for churning out 197 hp and hence, one can see a drop of 7 hp. But, that doesn't mean that the might of the Hayabusa is any lesser now. The bike can still do 300 kmph and this drop in power will have absolutely no effects on its fan following in India.
Well, the simple answer to that is - almost everything! The new generation Suzuki Hayabusa not only looks better and sharper than the outgoing model, but it also packs a host of new features. For the simple reason that the Hayabusa arrived as the fastest bike of the 20th century, it instantly became a sensation. The first-gen model started its life in the year 1999 and it continued to be on sale till 2007. When the Suzuki Hayabusa exceeded the top speed of 310 kmph in the year 1999, in the interest of public safety and also, due to fears of a European ban or regulatory crackdown, the Japanese and European motorcycle manufacturers entered into a formal agreement. The said agreement was about limiting the speed of superbikes to a maximum of 300 kmph and hence, it ended the speed battle once and for all. This agreement was named the Gentlemen's Agreement.
