Chhattisgarh government extends lockdown till May 6
The borders of the various districts will remain sealed during the lockdown. However, the administration of various districts has given relaxation in some services keeping in mind the convenience of the people.
In Chhattisgarh, the lockdown which was to end today in most districts including Raipur has now been extended till six o’clock in the morning of May 6. This follows corona infection continuing to record an alarming surge.
The borders of the various districts will remain sealed during the lockdown. However, the administration of various districts has given relaxation in some services keeping in mind the convenience of the people.
In various districts of Chhattisgarh, including capital Raipur, where the lockdown has been extended, grocery, fruit and vegetable shops will remain closed. However, home delivery of these items can be done at the time fixed by the district administration. Home delivery from hotel and restaurant will be allowed till 8 PM. Home delivery has also been allowed to e-commerce services during the lockdown.
Banks will also be permitted to open for a limited time with limited staff. During the lockdown, ration will also be distributed to cardholders through tokens from shops under the public distribution system. All government and private offices will remain closed during the lockdown period. Apart from this, entry of public in religious and tourist places will also be banned.
