Vriddhi Royals, Game Changer register wins in 3rd PPCPL

JAMMU, Apr 26: Vriddhi Royals and Game Changer registered emphatic win against their opponents in the ongoing 3rd PPCPL and entered in the next stage of the league, being played at KC Sports Club here today.
Earlier, in the first match, Vriddhi Royals defeated Elite Tigers by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Elite Tigers scored 135 runs by losing all the wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Rohan Gill played a splendid inning of 46 runs while Sukhman made 36 runs.
From the bowling side, Vishal took 2 wickets while Tegvansh, Jasbir, Vanshaj and Tarun took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Vriddhi Royals chased the target in last over of the game by losing 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Tarun Bisht was the top scorer with 60 runs, while Kawalpreet made 18 runs and Dhikhshant chipped in 17 runs.
From Elite Tigers side, Sahil took 2 wickets and Sumit scalped 1 wicket.
Tarun was declared as Man of the Match.
In another match, Game Changer defeated Samar Strikers by 20 runs.
Batting first, Game Changer scored 161 runs by losing all the wickets in 19.4 overs. Smarpit scored 45 runs, while Manzir made 41 runs and Aqib scored 40 runs.
From the bowling side, Tejasvee was the pick of the bowler, who took 5 wickets, Dupesh took 2 wickets while Zaheer and Sumit scalped 1 wicket each.
In reply, Samar Strikers could not chase the target and managed to score 41 runs by losing all the wickets. Sumit made 43 runs, Dupesh scored 19 runs and Yuvrat Saini made 14 runs.
From the bowling side, Amir scalped 4 wickets, Ranjoot Singh took 3 wickets and Aqib pocketed 2 wickets.
Aqib was adjudged as Man of the Match.
RP Singh, Sadiq Hussain, Rahul, JD Singh, Ashok Kumar and Saleem ur Rehman were the officials in today matches.
Puneet Kumar, Ranji Player was the chief guest who was introduced with the participating teams. Kumar conveyed his best wishes to the players and appreciated the role of Zonal Police Jammu and Senior Cricketers of Jammu for organizing such a mega cricket league for the under-19 boys of J&K.
Irfan Pathan former Ranji Player from Baroda joined with the commentator on live during the matches and shared his valuable experiences with our viewers. He also said that regular practice, positive attitude of a player and hard work make a normal player to a bigger and professional player. He also advised the parents not to pressurize their children and let them enjoy the cricket in a normal way.
