Graduating seniors wait to walk during the Port Huron High School commencement Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at McMorran Arena.

Port Huron Schools will not hold proms or all night parties for graduating seniors due health and safety restrictions.

"Port Huron Schools has worked closely with the St. Clair County Health Department to determine which events can be safely held meeting the health department guidelines for public gatherings. The decisions that were made apply to both Port Huron High School and Port Huron Northern High School," the district said in a statement.

Port Huron High's Decision Day will be in-person on May 14th. There will be two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Northern's Decision Day will take place during fourth hour on May 18 in the performing arts center.

Senior assemblies will take place at Memorial Stadium, with each student getting two tickets under current health department guidelines.

Port Huron Northern High School's assembly will be held at 7 p.m. May 27. Port Huron High's assembly will be held at 7 p.m. May 28.

If health guidelines change, the number of tickets available could change. Masks and social distancing will be required for everyone in attendance.

Commencements will take place in two sessions per school.

Port Huron High's commencement will be held at 5 and 7 p.m. June 1.

Port Huron Northern's commencement will be held at 5 and 7 p.m. June 2.

Students will choose their time.

"Because we are splitting commencement into two sessions, each student will get five tickets. If guidelines change, the ticket numbers could change. Masks and social distancing will be required for everyone in attendance. More information regarding attending commencement will be sent at a later date," according to the district.
