Covid-19 has disrupted tourism, hospitality and leisure universally. On the flip aide, it has also created space for academics, industry and policy makers to rethink what tourism, hospitality and leisure are for, who they are for, and how they might be reconsidered while transitioning into a post-pandemic future.

Hence, there are some big questions about what tourism, hospitality and leisure stand for in the post-pandemic era. Their purpose has long been considered as simply offering fulfilling experiences for their customers to generate income for the organizations concerned. The sectors are widely considered to be closely involved towards contributing to sustainable development in the long term. However, what is their role in securing dependence in the short-term?

How might all three sectors attempt to develop communities and achieve local economic development? What is their role in initiating health and well-being benefits, and how can this role exploited better? These and other major questions concerning the tourism, hospitality and leisure sectors in the post-pandemic age need to be thought about deeply.
