Ramu, Kannada film Producer and Malashree's Husband dies due to Covid-19

Bengaluru, Apr 26: Ramu, a kannada Producer/Director/Actor, husband of actress Malashree, who has worked predominantly in Kannada movie industry passed away on 26th April, 2021 due to covid-19 related complications. He was 53.

Ramu was admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital three days ago after he contracted the virus.

According to reports, Ramu breathed his last at around 8 pm.

Ramu has worked in popular movies like Simha, Arjun Gowda. Ramu's previous film to hit the theatres was Simha in the year 2021.

Some of the films produced by Ramu are AK 47 (1999), Lockup Death (1994), Kalasipalya (2004), Ganga (2015).

Ramu was married to Sandalwood superstar Malashree and they have two children.

Many actors and industry members such as Puneeth Rajkumar, Sumalatha Ambareesh, Rakshitha Prem among others took to their social media to condole Ramu's demise.

Taking to Twitter, Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar paid his tribute. He wrote, "One of the most passionate Movie Producers of KFI, Ramu Sir is no more. RIP."

Rakshit Shetty wrote, "My deepest condolence on the passing away of Ramu sir. Sending love & strength to his family and dear ones to cope with the loss!"
