At 1,310, Noida sees its sharpest single-day spike

Noida/Ghaziabad: Gautam Budh Nagar on Sunday reported 1,310 fresh Covid-19 cases, the highest single day tally in the district so far.
According to the state Covid-19 bulletin, as many as 11 deaths were reported in the district in the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 154.
Officials said that more than six deaths took place in Sharda hospital and the others died in GIMS and Sector 30 government hospital. The total number of active cases in the district stands at 35,998 and of them, 29,770 patients have been discharged.
Currently, 6,074 patients are undergoing treatment at various Covid facilities or are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, 714 fresh Covid cases were reported in Ghaziabad on Sunday taking the tally to 35,486.
Ten deaths were reported on Sunday, and the toll now stands at 148.
Not a single Covid death was reported in the district in the first three months of this year. Since April 10, the district has been continuously reporting a high number of Covid cases and deaths. As many as 567 people were discharged on Sunday in Ghaziabad and with this total people discharged in the district till date is 29,361. The district has 5,977 active cases at present.
