MENA IT spending to grow 4.5% this year - Gartner

IT spending in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is projected to total USD 171 billion in 2021, an increase of 4.5 percent from 2020, according to the latest forecast by Gartner. Last year, IT spending in MENA grew 2.7 percent year-on-year. Most of the segments experienced flat growth, except for communications services which grew 7.2 percent.This year, enterprise software will experience the highest growth, at 14.5 percent, boosted by the increase in remote worker numbers. Growth will also return to segments such as data centre systems and devices over the next two years.
