SHIMLA: The
Himachal Pradesh government has decided to impose night curfew in four districts of Kangra, Una, Solan and Sirmaur. For now, the curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 5 am from April 27 midnight to May 10.
The decision to the effect was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur in
Shimla on Sunday. It was also decided to make RT-PCR tests within 72 hours mandatory for all visitors visiting the state. In case the visitors have not undergone the RT-PCR test, they would have to remain in home quarantine or isolation at the place of their residence for 14 days.
STF for enforcement of SOPsThey would also have the option of getting themselves tested after seven days of arrival and if found negative, they can leave the quarantine.
It was also decided that local bodies, both in urban and rural areas, would be closely involved in the effective enforcement of all the health protocols and guidelines in their respective areas and empowered to initiate legal action against violators so as to check the spread of the pandemic.
A special task force would be constituted at the local level for effective enforcement of SOPs during all religious, social, political, and cultural gatherings. It would be empowered to initiate strict action against the people violating the
Covid guidelines.
