Stormers coach John Dobson has been heavily linked with a move to English club Harlequins, according to numerous reports.
According to the Rugby Paper, Dobson was interviewed by the club last week and was "impressive".
Dobson's current contract with Western Province runs through until next year, but it is understood that he has been offered an extension beyond that.
A Capetonian through and through, Dobson's love for Western Province is well documented and he has been instrumental in the union extending the contracts of a number of high-profile players recently including Frans Malherbe, Steven Kitshoff and Damian Willemse.
Dobson has been coaching full-time at Western Province since 2010 in various capacities.
The Stormers, meanwhile, take on the Sharks at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday in the first match of the South African edition of the Rainbow Cup.
