Three oxygen generation plants to be set up in Palghar

Palghar, Apr 25 (UNI) Amidst acute shortage of oxygen and rising number of Covid cases in the district, administration has decided to generate oxygen from air and set up three plants of 1.25 tonnes capacity each in the district for the same.
One plant each of 1.25 tonnes capacity (125 jumbo cylinder) will be set up at Jawahar, Palghar and Dahanu for the purpose, collector Dr Manik Gursal said in an official release here on Saturday.
That administrative approval for a sum of Rs 3.20 crore for the same has already been received, he said.
On the directions of Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse, the funds have been made available from the District Development Funds, he informed.
The work orders for Palghar and Jawahar have already been given and the work will start anytime soon, he added.
Also, Covid hospitals are being set up at the Jawahar sub-district hospital and the rural hospitals at Dahanu and Palghar, the collector stated.
