Measures initiated in Bengaluru to tackle new wave of COVID-19
April 18th 2021
Greetings from MMAB!
Manipuri Meitei Association, Bangalore have announced few initiatives to take the surge on 2nd/3rd Covid Wave. India registered 2 lakhs plus cases of Covid on 15th April which is the single day highest increase in terms of new Covid case that we have ever seen.
Bengaluru is one of the worst affected cities with over 10,000 cases per day. Medical infrastructure in the city is overstressed.
Measures initiated by MMAB to tackle 2nd wave of COVID-19 and to ensure people's and their family’s health and well being
1. Encouraging vaccination and offering reimbursement for individuals who need to pay for vaccination, for detail please reach out to us.
2. Promoting awareness to maintain social distance and hygiene even after vaccination. And recommended not to venture out unless it’s absolutely necessary.
3. Encouraging individuals and their family member to have Health Insurance. MMAB is extending assistance in Group Health Insurance under MMAB.
There are dozens of families from our community based here in Bengaluru who tested positive and MMAB is in touch with them and supporting in all possible means.
Few of the cases have been critical requiring medical attention and MMAB is also providing all required financial support.
