Nushrat Bharucha feels no other actor has done what she did for ‘Chhorii’, says, “I have on my own, found a whole new way”

Nushrat Bharuccha has been doing wonders in the Bollywood Industry from her jolting performance in Payar ka Punchnama, Sonu ki titu ki Sweety, Chhalaang, and recent Netflix anthology Ajeeb Daastaans. The sweety has received applause for her performance from the fans. According to the sources she has spoken about how she created her fame in the industry apart from not having any connections from the industry, and no formal acting classes.
She mentioned, “I don’t know if it’s by design. Nobody ever told me whether it should be played with confidence or not. Two people including you have told me this. But, it is not by design. If there is a character and they say she has to be very under-confident, meek, and timid then maybe I’ll approach it and do it like that.”

“For Chhorii, I have on my own, found a whole new way to be Chhorii which I will tell you later. But even my director was like are you sure you want to take this approach and I am like, ‘Sir, it’s a thought that has come to me. Maybe I’ll fail, maybe I’ll succeed. I don’t know, let’s try it.’ So he trusted me and I tried a whole new approach in Chhorii, for me to get that role and film right. But I don’t think there is really any actor who has done that, not to my knowledge, which I will tell you when I am doing promotions for that. But I find different ways of doing it and that’s what keeps me engaged. That is the most challenging and exciting part of me being an actor,” she mentioned when asked if she prefers method acting while approaching a character.
