Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 76th episode of his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' shortly. The radio programme comes amid the surge in the Covid-19 cases in the country. India logged a record 3,49,691 new coronavirus infections in a day taking it total tally of Covid-19 cases to 1,69,60,172, while active cases crossed the 26-lakh mark, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated at 8 am today.

In 'Mann Ki Baat' held in March, PM Modi also talked about the 'Amrit Mahotsav' and said that it will elevate the country to newer heights and instill a passion to do something for the country.
"Mann ki Baat" is the Prime Minister's monthly radio address to the nation, which is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month.
