Kendall Jenner just proved the power of a classic button down.
On Sunday, the supermodel stepped out in New York City, wearing the wardrobe essential in a mint green hue. Jenner opted to style the shirt unbuttoned, layering it atop a cropped white tank.
Jenner continued the look with a pair of black trousers that featured leather belt loops and pockets before blending with a woolen fabric. The reality star coordinated the black pants with a leather shoulder bag and sunglasses.
As for footwear, Jenner brought back the square toe trend with a pair of brown crocodile-embossed boots. The sleek shoes sat atop a rectangle heel.
Jenner’s vibrant button down not only added a pop of color to the look, but also blended the “dad” aesthetic — considering the shirt offered an oversized fit and menswear feel — with a more posh vibe. Button downs are great as they are timeless and versatile. They can be worn layered like Jenner demonstrated or buttoned up and tucked in. The reality star styled her puff sleeve look with a pair of cowboy boots. The shoes, which were brown in hue, featured a pointed toe and an engraved design at the sides. Jenner’s decision to pair the dress with cowboy boots gave the look a fun upgrade and a semi tom boy touch, which she is known for.
