Pakistan beat Zimbabwe, win three-match T20I series: Records broken

A magnificent four-wicket haul by Hasan Ali powered Pakistan to a 24 run-victory in the third T20I against Zimbabwe.

With this, the visitors have won the three-match T20I series 2-1.

Despite getting stunned in the 2nd T20I, Pakistan managed to make a comeback eventually.

The likes of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam starred with the bat for Pakistan.

How did the match pan out?

Pakistan were off to a watchful start after electing to bat at Harare.

Rizwan once again impressed with the bat even though he lost the support of Sharjeel Khan.

Rizwan (91*) shared a century-stand with Babar Azam, who made 52.

Eventually, Pakistan managed 165/3 in 20 overs.

Although Wesley Madhevere (59) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (35) showed fight, Zimbabwe were restricted to 141/7.

Fastest to 2,000 runs in T20Is

The incredible Babar Azam broke yet another record today.

He became the fastest player to reach 2,000 runs in T20I cricket.

The Pakistan skipper achieved the milestone in his 52nd innings.

He left behind Indian captain Virat Kohli, who held the record previously (56 innings).

Interestingly, Babar also remains the second-fastest to 1,000 T20I runs (26 innings).

Babar played a defiant knock in the 3rd T20I against Zimbabwe. Coming in to bat at number three, he brought up his 18th T20I fifty in style. Babar ended up scoring 52 off 46 balls with the help of 5 fours.

Rizwan adjudged Player of the Series

Just like the previous few games, Rizwan set the ton of Pakistan innings.

He registered his sixth half-century in T20I cricket, having remained unbeaten on 91.

His 60-ball knock was laced with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Rizwan emerged as the Player of the Series.

He finished as the leading run-scorer with scores of 82*, 13, and 91* in the series.

Hasan Ali picked up four wickets in the match

Hasan Ali picked up four wickets in the match

Pace spearhead Hasan Ali turned out to be the standout bowler of the match.

He picked up four wickets and gave away mere 18 runs in four overs.

The Pakistani fast bowler raced to 48 career T20I wickets (average: 21.97).

Hasan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his stunning effort.

Hasan's compatriot Haris Rauf also took two wickets, giving away 34 runs.
