Shimla:
Himachal Pradesh reported 24 Covid-19
deaths and record 2,073 positive
cases on Saturday.
In the state, highest eight
Covid deaths were reported from Kangra district, five from Hamirpur district, three deaths from Mandi district, two deaths each from Shimla, Solan and Chamba, while one death each was reported from Una and Sirmaur districts. The state has so far detected 86,138 confirmed positive cases, of which 13,411 cases are active, 71,396 patients have recovered, while 1,291 persons have died.
Of the total positive cases reported on Saturday, maximum cases were reported from Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan districts. Of the 10,809 samples taken since Friday 7 pm onwards, results of 4,189 samples were awaited. So far total 14,40,233 persons have been tested for Covid-19 till date.
Positive cases reported include 360 from Kangra district, 317 from Solan, 269 from Shimla, 265 from Mandi, 207 from Sirmaur, 194 from Hamirpur, 184 from Bilaspur, 142 from Una, 92 from Kullu, 31 from Chamba, seven from Kinnaur and five from Lahaul-Spiti.
As of Saturday, Kangra district has highest number of 3,076 active cases, Solan has 2,440, Shimla has 1,420, Mandi has 1,215 Sirmaur has 1,189 active cases, Una has 1,074, Hamirpur has 1,015, Bilaspur 737, Kullu 501, Chamba 336, Lahaul-Spiti 235 and Kinnaur 173.
